UBE BUCHI RECIPE

Crispy and chewy rice ball snacks filled with purple yam and coated with sesami seeds.

Recipe:

Dough:
1 1/2 cups glutinous rice flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
3 tsp oil
Ube flavoring/coloring

Filling:
3 tbsp glutinous rice flour
1 1/4 cup water
1 cup ube jam
2 cups cooking oil for frying

*1/2 cup sesame seeds for coating

Steps:

In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the dough. Then let it sit for 30 minutes.

Then, divide the dough into 18 parts. Form into a ball. Then flatten using dough roller. Add 1 tablespoon of filling. Seal and roll the dough in the plate with sesame seeds. Set aside. Continue the process till done.

Frying:
Heat a pan and add oil. Deep fry the sesame balls until golden brown. Set in paper towel. Ready to serve.
