Ingredients:
- 20 jumbo pasta shells
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (plus extra for topping)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- Fresh basil or parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the jumbo pasta shells and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
- Drain the shells and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped spinach (if using), minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
