Fried S’mores Bombs
Fried S’mores Bombs are a delightful twist on the classic campfire treat, featuring gooey marshmallow and melted chocolate inside a crispy, golden-brown dough. Here’s how you can make them:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 large marshmallows
- 8 small pieces of chocolate (or chocolate chips)
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil works well)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Assemble the S’mores Bombs:
- Flatten a small portion of the dough in your hand.
- Place a piece of chocolate in the center of a marshmallow, then wrap the dough around the marshmallow and chocolate, sealing it completely.
- Repeat with the remaining marshmallows, chocolate, and dough.
- Heat the Oil:
- Heat about 2 inches of oil in a deep pot or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the S’mores Bombs:
- Carefully place a few s’mores bombs into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pot.
- Fry until they are golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve:
- Dust the fried s’mores bombs with powdered sugar while they are still warm.
Enjoy your Fried S’mores Bombs! They are best served warm and gooey.
