Air fryer Ribeye Steak

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes

Servings: 2

Difficulty Level: Easy

Ingredients:

  • 2 ribeye steaks, about 1 inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons steak seasoning (or a mix of salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Bring Steaks to Room Temperature:
    • Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.
  3. Season Steaks:
    • Rub each steak with olive oil, ensuring they are well-coated. Season both sides with steak seasoning, dried thyme (if using), and smoked paprika (if using).
  4. Place in Air Fryer:
    • Place the seasoned ribeye steaks in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching each other.
  5. Air Fry:
    • Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 5-7 minutes for medium-rare or 8-10 minutes for medium, flipping the steaks halfway through the cooking time.
  6. Add Butter:
    • In the last 2 minutes of cooking, place a tablespoon of butter on top of each steak to melt and baste them.
  7. Check for Doneness:
    • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. For medium-rare, it should be around 135°F (57°C), and for medium, aim for 145°F (63°C).
  8. Rest:
    • Once done, let the steaks rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.
  9. Garnish:
    • Optionally, garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
  10. Serve:
    • Serve the Air Fryer Ribeye Steaks hot, and enjoy the delicious, juicy flavor.

Note:

  • Adjust cooking times based on your preferred level of doneness and the thickness of the steaks.
  • Experiment with different seasonings and herbs to customize the flavor of your ribeye steaks.
  • Always use a meat thermometer to ensure your steak reaches the desired internal temperature for safety and taste.
