Authentic Homemade Strawberry Jam

Ingredients:

1/2 kilo of strawberries
340 gr. of sugar
The juice of half a lemon
Airtight jars to store the jam (200 gr. each)

Directions:

To begin, we are going to wash the strawberries well, dry them and remove the stem. Then you cut it however you want but they have to be all the same size to have an even cooking.

We put everything in a very large pot and add the lemon juice, send it to a medium/minimum heat for about 30 minutes. While that time passes we have to stir occasionally.

After 30 minutes you will notice that the strawberry shrinks, releasing all its juices, at that moment we add the sugar and increase the heat to medium/maximum.
We leave it boiling for 40 minutes, and again we are going to stir occasionally (especially trying not to let it stick to the bottom and end up burning).

After this time, we are going to remove it from the heat and let it cool for about 40 minutes. Then we are going to put them in the jars and send them to the refrigerator for about 3 hours.

And we would have our delicious strawberry jam ready, the good thing about it is that you can leave it in the refrigerator for 2 months. If you made a lot to last, you can freeze it for up to 1 year.
