Battered courgette rolls: the recipe for a tasty appetizer
Here is a delicious recipe for preparing battered courgette rolls:
Ingredients:
2 medium courgettes
2 eggs
100 g of flour
100 ml of milk
Salt to taste.
Black pepper to taste
Fry oil
Method:
Preparation of the courgettes:
Wash the courgettes well and cut the ends.
Using a mandolin or potato peeler, slice the courgettes lengthwise into thin slices, lengthwise.
Place the zucchini slices on a cutting board and sprinkle them lightly with salt. This will help to lose excess water and make them softer.
Preparation of the batter:
In a bowl, beat the eggs with a fork.
Add the flour and mix well until you obtain a smooth mixture.
Add the milk little by little, continuing to mix, until you obtain a smooth batter without lumps.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Battering the courgettes:
Heat plenty of oil in a pan or frying pan.
Dip the courgette slices in the batter so that they are well coated on both sides.
Fry the rolls:
Once the oil is hot, fry the zucchini rolls in small batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
Fry the rolls until golden and crispy on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Once ready, transfer them to a plate lined with absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
Serve:
Serve the battered courgette rolls hot as an appetizer or side dish.
You can accompany the rolls with a sauce of your choice, such as mayonnaise, sweet and sour sauce or yogurt sauce, and garnish them with fresh aromatic herbs, such as parsley or basil.
Battered courgette rolls are a tasty and crunchy dish that the whole family will love. You can customize the recipe by adding spices or herbs to the batter to vary the flavor. Enjoy your meal!
