Blueberry Whirlwind Cookies

Ingredients:
For the Sugar Cookies:
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Cream Cheese Swirl:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Blueberry Swirl:
1/2 cup blueberry jam or preserves
Fresh blueberries (optional, for a more intense flavor)

Instructions:
Preheat & Prep: Warm your oven to 375°F (190°C) and get your cookie sheets ready with parchment paper.
Cookie Dough: Whisk flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a bowl. In another bowl, cream butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until smooth. Mix in egg and vanilla. Gradually add dry ingredients.
Dough Balls: Spoon the dough onto your cookie sheets in teaspoonfuls.
Cream Cheese Mixture: Blend cream cheese with 1/4 cup sugar and vanilla until creamy.
Blueberry Swirl Prep: If using, mash fresh blueberries into your jam for extra flavor.
Assemble: Top each dough ball with cream cheese mixture and a bit of blueberry jam. Swirl them together with a toothpick or knife.
Bake: Cook for 8-10 minutes until they’re just golden. Let them sit on the sheet for a couple of minutes before moving them to cool off on wire racks.
