Delicate Shortbread with Jam Recipe

Ingredients:
180g butter
1 egg
130g sugar
A pinch of salt
1 tsp baking powder
1.5g vanillin
310g flour
350g jam/jelly
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine 180g of butter (at room temperature) and 130g of sugar. Mix until creamy.
Add a pinch of salt, 1 tsp of baking powder, and 1.5g of vanillin to the butter-sugar mixture. Mix well.
Beat in 1 egg until fully incorporated.
Gradually add 310g of flour to the mixture. Mix until the dough comes together and forms a ball.
Divide the dough into two equal parts.

Roll out the first part of the dough into a thin layer and place it in a greased baking dish or tray.
Spread 350g of your favorite jam or jelly evenly over the rolled-out dough.
Roll out the second part of the dough into a similar-sized layer and place it on top of the jam-covered layer. You can create a lattice or decorative pattern with the top layer if desired.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 30-35 minutes or until the shortbread turns golden brown.
Allow the shortbread to cool completely before cutting it into squares or bars.
