You will love the simplicity of this delicious lemon pepper chicken. It’s quick to prepare and then the slow cooker does the rest of the work for you!

Another reason I really love making Crockpot lemon pepper chicken…or any chicken recipe in the slow cooker…is that it’s always moist!

I hate dried out chicken and using the Crockpot as the cooking method means I don’t have to fear a tired, dried up, shoe leather style chicken brick being the end result.

That’s it! I told you this was a simple chicken recipe! While the chicken cooks in the slow cooker you can prep sides if you like. I usually pair this recipe with rice and steamed vegetables or a fresh salad. You can also serve this recipe over pasta, my family loves this option!

How to make slow cooker lemon chicken:

Spray crockpot with cooking spray. You can also use a crockpot liner if you like. I usually give the liner a spray as well just to be sure nothing will burn or stick.

In a shallow dish, combine the flour and pepper. Coat the chicken in the flour.

Melt the butter in a saucepan on your stovetop over medium heat. Once melted, brown each side of the chicken, but do not cook it all the way through.

This recipe can also be cooked on low if need be. Make sure you extend the cook time to about 6 hours and temp the chicken before serving to be sure that it’s reached the appropriate internal temperature!
