Fried Gnocchi: The Italian Recipe You Must Try!

INGREDIENTS
560g (4 1/2 cups) Manitoba flour
15g (1 1/4 tbsp) salt
40g (3 tbsp) lard
140ml (1/2 cup) warm water
140ml (1/2 cup 2 cups) warm milk
15g (2 tbsp) fresh yeast
Oil for frying

PROCEDURE

In a bowl add the flour, salt and butter and start working with your hands until the butter is combined with the flour.
In another bowl add the water, milk and brewer’s yeast and mix until the yeast has dissolved.
Add the yeast mixture to the first bowl and mix everything well until it forms a dough. Let the dough rest for two hours (until it doubles in size).
Divide the dough in half and roll it out thinly with a rolling pin. Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into small rectangular pieces.
Fry in hot oil until golden on both sides.
