Fried S’mores Bombs

Fried S’mores Bombs are a delightful twist on the classic campfire treat, featuring gooey marshmallow and melted chocolate inside a crispy, golden-brown dough. Here’s how you can make them:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 large marshmallows
  • 8 small pieces of chocolate (or chocolate chips)
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil works well)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, flour, baking powder, and salt.
    • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
    • Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  2. Assemble the S’mores Bombs:
    • Flatten a small portion of the dough in your hand.
    • Place a piece of chocolate in the center of a marshmallow, then wrap the dough around the marshmallow and chocolate, sealing it completely.
    • Repeat with the remaining marshmallows, chocolate, and dough.
  3. Heat the Oil:
    • Heat about 2 inches of oil in a deep pot or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Fry the S’mores Bombs:
    • Carefully place a few s’mores bombs into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pot.
    • Fry until they are golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes.
    • Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  5. Serve:
    • Dust the fried s’mores bombs with powdered sugar while they are still warm.

Enjoy your Fried S’mores Bombs! They are best served warm and gooey.
