Greek cheese bread

I bake Greek cheese bread at least twice a week!

Ingredients :

1 package dried yeast
5 tbsp olive oil
250 g feta cheese
550 g flour
1 cup water
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
120 g Kasseri cheese
some oregano

preparation :

  1. First put the flour, sugar, salt and dry yeast in a bowl and mix. Then add water and oil and knead into a sticky dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place until it doubles in size.
  2. In the meantime brush a baking sheet with olive oil. At night, crumble the cheese and knead 2/3 of it into the risen dough.
  3. Next, place the dough on the tray and flatten. Then sprinkle with the remaining cheese and oregano. Put in the oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake for about 40 minutes.
