Meatloaf Filled with Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients :

2 pounds ground beef

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 tablespoon powdered onion soup mix

salt, to taste

chili powder, to taste

basil leaves

2 eggs

1/2 cup flour

6 cooked potatoes, mashed

3 1/2 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup milk

5 ounces ham

5 ounces mozzarella cheese, sliced

5 ounces bacon, sliced

2 tablespoons honey

Instructions :

Preheat Oven to 350°F.

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion soup mix, salt, chili powder, basil leaves, eggs and flour. Mix well then set aside.

In a saucepan over medium heat, add the mashed potatoes, butter, cream and milk. Mix well until the butter melts. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

Prepare a work surface with plastic wrap. Lay meat mixture on top and use hands to flatten into a rectangle. Top with slices of ham, followed by the mashed potatoes and cheese slices.

Use the plastic wrap to roll meat up into a log. Transfer to a baking dish.

Cover with bacon slices and drizzle with honey. Bake for 1 hour. Allow to cool slightly, then slice and serve.
