Ingredients:

Olive oil 1 tsp.
Onion, sliced 1
Garlic, minced 2 cloves
Ground beef 1 lb
Salt 1 tsp.
Ground pepper 1/2 tsp.
Marinara sauce 1 jar (24 oz)
Beef ravioli 1 packet (25 oz)
Fresh spinach, washed and trimmed 1 bag (10 oz)
Mozzarella cheese, shredded 2 cups
Parmesan cheese, grated 1/2 cup
Dried Italian herbs 1/2 tsp.
Red pepper flakes (optional) 1/4 tsp.

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the garlic and onion until translucent.
  2. Add the ground beef to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and brown it. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Combine the cooked meat mixture with half of the marinara sauce and set aside.
  4. Coat the inside of the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  5. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the slow cooker.
  6. Arrange a layer of beef ravioli over the sauce, followed by a layer of the meat mixture. Add a layer of fresh spinach on top, and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  7. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cheese on top.
  8. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, or until the ravioli is tender and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Before serving, garnish with dried Italian herbs and red pepper flakes, if desired.
