Making dinner in the slow cooker is usually about ease for me. I like to have a little helper in the kitchen who can do the hard work while I focus on other things.

The Crockpot makes every recipe easier because it means I don’t have to hover over the stove or oven while the cooking takes place. This crockpot spaghetti recipe is no exception!

If you have ever made a baked spaghetti recipe, this is very similar. It’s less like the loose noodles and sauce that we’re accustomed to and more like a lasagna style square that can be easily served and stored for leftovers.

To feel a little more fancy, try out these stuffed manicotti with spinach. They’re so tasty and just a little more “special”!

When it comes to Italian food I also like to whip up this super easy bubble up pizza recipe. It’s not classically Italian but it’s very indulgent and family friendly.

You can find the full amounts and ingredients in the recipe card below. But here’s a quick rundown of what we’ll be using: ground chuck, yellow onions, garlic, marinara sauce, fires roasted diced tomatoes, water, Italian seasoning, balsamic vinegar, thyme, basil, oregano, kosher salt, and black pepper.

We’ll also include a pinch of sugar to offset the acidity of the canned tomatoes! You’ll need dry spaghetti, shredded mozzarella, grated parmesan, and some fresh basil or parsley for garnish!

How to make slow cooker spaghetti:

Making this crockpot spaghetti is easy and simple. First we will need to heat a large skillet on medium high heat.

Add some oil to the pan and cook the ground beef with onions for about 6 minutes until he beef is completely cooked. Drain away the fat and return the meat to the pan!

Now we will turn down the heat and add the garlic, cook that for about 2 minutes and then add the marinara, tomatoes, water, seasonings, sugar, vinegar, and sugar. Stir well and let it all combine for a few minutes.

Next we will place the mixture into a greased or lined slow cooker. I used a 6 quart, you could use a slightly smaller or larger one and still be fine! Top the mixture in the slow cooker with the broken spaghetti noodles.

Give everything a little stir and then top it with shredded cheese! Cover the pot and cook on low for 4 hours.

When it’s time to serve the recipe you can do so with some basil or parsley and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese!
