Crunch Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts
Ingredients:
4 large chicken breasts, pounded thin
2 cups flour
4 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons black pepper
3 tablespoons ground ginger
2 tablespoons ground nutmeg
2 teaspoons ground thyme
2 teaspoons ground sage
2 tablespoons paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
4 eggs
8 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Canola oil, for frying
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, black pepper, ginger, nutmeg, thyme, sage, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
In another bowl, whisk together eggs and water.
Dip chicken breasts into the egg mixture, then into the flour mixture, repeating to create a double coat.
Heat canola oil in a large skillet and fry chicken until golden brown and fully cooked, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add olive oil and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute.
Add honey, soy sauce, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes until sauce thickens.
Pour sauce over chicken and serve.
